The Mohawk Valley Blues Society presents its 5th blues festival on June 28, 2014, at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds in Frankfort, NY. Headlining the festival this year will be Texas blues legend Long John Hunter and the R.D. Olson Blues Band. Also performing that day will be the Mark May Band, the Peter Karp & Sue Foley Band, Jeremy Wallace, Scotty Mac and the Rockin' Bonnevilles, and the Women in Blues Revue, plus a number of acoustic acts between the main performers. Gates open at 11am, music begins at noon until 10pm. General Admission tickets are just $20 in advance, and $25 at the gate. Children 12 & under get in free. Plenty of food & craft vendors on site, plus legal beverages available for sale. Main viewing area is covered so this event will go on rain or shine! No outside food or beverages allowed. Okay to bring portable chairs & blankets for seating although many chairs and tables will be provided in the main viewing area.
